What is PlayED Budding Learners?
PlayED Budding Learners (PBL) is a Singapore-based small-group learning provider supporting Primary and Secondary students in English, Math, Science and Writing. We combine close teacher attention, tailored practice, in-house learning materials aligned to current MOE syllabus requirements, and clear progress tracking so parents can understand what their child is working on, where support is needed and what comes next. Face-to-Face lessons are delivered through our purpose-prepared neighbourhood learning studio, with Live Online classes also available.

Dominic is an MOE-certified trainer and educator with more than 14 years of teaching, tutoring and facilitation experience. He supports learners through clear explanations, targeted practice, step-by-step guidance and regular feedback to parents.

PLEMO, the learning approach developed by PlayED Games & Education Studio (PEDGES), helps us combine strong academic teaching with active practice, revision, reflection and visible evidence of progress.
Technology supports the process, but teachers remain responsible for the lesson and children still do the thinking.
Selected learning experiences may include PiBA under separately governed validation activities where applicable. Participation in specific product validation is handled separately from normal enrolment and, where applicable, requires parent or guardian consent.

Where are face-to-face lessons held?
During our founding micro-class phase, lessons are conducted in our purpose-prepared home learning studio in West Singapore. Classes are by appointment and capped at three learners. Exact location and arrival details are shared with confirmed families.
Why only three learners?
Small classes give each learner more opportunities to speak, ask, attempt, receive feedback and try again. They also let us adjust explanations, examples and practice focus according to each learner’s current level and needs.
Are learning materials included?
Yes. All core learning materials used in class are provided by PBL and included in the programme fee.
What kind of materials do you use?
We use PBL-produced learning materials aligned to current Singapore MOE syllabus requirements and what students are expected to handle in school.
Will support be the same for every child?
No. Because classes are kept small, we can adjust explanations, examples and practice focus according to each learner’s current level and needs.
How do you track my child’s progress?
We keep structured lesson and progress records so parents can receive clearer updates on what was covered, what needs support and what comes next.
Is this a tuition centre?
PlayED Budding Learners currently delivers its founding programmes through a home-based learning studio. As enrolment grows, we plan to expand into a dedicated learning-centre environment while retaining small-class teaching.
Are walk-ins available?
No. All lessons and trials are by appointment.
Face-to-Face or Live Online?
Each confirmed cohort is organised as either Face-to-Face or Live Online so the learning experience stays consistent. Ad-hoc switching is not available once a cohort is confirmed; a later change depends on a suitable place being available in another cohort. The programme fee is the same for both modes.
What does a 4-session cycle cover?
Each cycle targets agreed priorities based on the learner’s current needs. It is not a promise to cover an entire school syllabus or guarantee a particular grade or AL outcome.
How is a new Skill Booster class confirmed?
New Skill Booster cohorts open when there is enough paid demand and the programme, teacher and timetable are ready. After consultation, we may request a 50% class-formation deposit to reserve your child’s place. The deposit is credited toward the first package when the class opens. If we cannot open the class by the stated decision date, it is refunded.
Current deposit values: P5/P6 S$145 · S1/S2 S$165.
What should we expect for arrival and collection?
Exact arrival and collection instructions are shared once a booking is confirmed.
What happens if my child misses one of the four lessons?
Your child’s place is reserved for the full 4-session cycle, so missed lessons are generally not refundable. Please let us know as early as possible. If a suitable place is available in another session of the same programme and delivery mode, we will try to offer a make-up lesson, but this cannot be guaranteed.
If a make-up lesson is not available, we will provide the relevant learning materials and a brief catch-up note so your child knows what to work on next.
If PBL has to cancel a lesson, we will arrange a replacement session or an appropriate course credit. For exceptional circumstances, please contact us and we will work out a reasonable arrangement with you.
Can I ask questions about my child’s learning progress?
Yes. Parents are welcome to reach out with questions about lessons or progress. We aim to respond to WhatsApp and enquiry messages within one working day during normal working hours.
